Presenting My Virtual Makeover from GlamST

I remember back in college when Lookbook was huge with my gay friends. They taught me how to create looks, and it was like playing with paper dolls all over again. Of course, I prefer doing that same thing with makeup because it would greatly help in building my ever-expanding wishlist. Enter GlamST.

This is a fabulous site where you can give yourself a makeover without leaving the comfort of your home. It’s a virtual makeover, so you can simply upload your picture and try on some amazing makeup brands to create hundreds of different looks. The brands featured are already quite popular, but you’ll be glad to have discovered them if they aren’t already familiar to you. Here’s a little step-by-step on how it works:

Upload your photo and adjust the dots to capture your face, eye, and lip shapes

Choose makeup brands and shades that best suit you, then save your makeover

You can keep track of the products you use, and you can even shop for them on the spot

I’ve gone on enough mall trips to know that swatching everything in sight can be a little awkward, so the next best thing is to narrow your picks down since you’ve already “sampled” the shades online. That takes care of the impatient sales associate problem. It’s also a great option for those who aren’t comfortable with the idea of using the makeup counter testers that have probably been handled by others before you.

Before and After

GlamST has just added eyeliners and eye shadows to the mix, so I’ve been playing around with those a lot. To see available eyeshadow shades, click HERE. To see looks done by others, click HERE.

If you’re looking for something fun to do on the net that involves makeup, why not start here? It’s fun, it’s free, and it’s empowering. 🙂
