A Peek Into My Makeup Bag

Ask me to divulge my guilty beauty pleasure, and I’ll tell you that it’s getting to peek into someone else’s makeup bag. It started from when Cosmo magazine used to feature a What’s In Her Bag section that covered the contents of celebrities’ handbags. And because sharing is caring (hahaha!), why not work with what I already have and give you a peek into my own stash?

ONL Makeup Pouch

This rectangular pouch is a gift with purchase from ONL, a Korean makeup brand. Last I heard, PSY—yes, the pop star—is the face of ONL. I love a good boxy pouch because I’m OC that way. If I can manage to fit something into every nook and cranny without the awkward empty edges, then I’m pleased. Now, onto the makeup inside…

Top: I’m a huge fan of Canmake Highlighter because it gives off a most natural glow, especially for a powder formula. For touch-ups, I don’t mind leaving the powder at home, but I cannot leave oil blotters behind. This one’s from Etude House.

Clockwise from left: Clinique Blushing Blush Powder Blush in Iced Lotus is my go-to blush of the moment. It isn’t chalky and I find that it compliments most of my cool-toned eyeshadows.

I’ve been using Revlon Colorstay 16 Hour Eyeshadow in Attitude daily for the last two weeks because it gives a great no-makeup makeup look when I’m in a hurry and I can also use it to contour my eyelids.

Next up, I have a travel blush/powder brush from Charm and an E.L.F. blending brush that I use for contouring and shading.

When I feel like using eyeliner, I always turn to Etude House Proof 10 Auto Pencil for long-lasting definition in a brown or black shade that isn’t too harsh.

For removing shine from my T-zone, I will always go back to Johnson’s Face Powder as it is affordable and doesn’t break me out.

I can go without foundation, but I’m paranoid about concealer. I’m obsessed with K-Palette Zero Kuma Concealer Type 3.

Finally, we go to Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie. I’m sentimental about this one since it’s my very first Revlon lip butter. I also got to experience just how nourishing the formula was when I went through cold weather without suffering any dryness on my lips. No lip balm required.

There you have it… Do I get to see your makeup bag? Please post a link if you want to share your stash. 🙂
