Taking care of my hands was a practice ingrained in me when I did my culinary internship at a local hotel. Ingredients: prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, beeswax, citrus medica limonum (lemon) peel oil, theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter, euphorbia cerifera (candelilla) wax, beta-carotenerosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, tocopherol, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, glycine soja (soybean) oil, canola oil, vegetable oil

Pros:

• Dressed in a cute tin, this product looks to be safe for travel as the cuticle cream stays solid at Philippine room temperature. It hasn’t melted and messed up the sides of the tin, so the outside hasn’t become slick. However, I’ve only been using it before bed, so I can’t guarantee that it won’t burst open inside a purse.
• The scent has got to be the most distinct feature of this cuticle cream. What makes it so special is that the lemon scent is completely natural, unlike those artificially-scented, industrial-strength cleansers out in the market. If I had this two years ago, the lemon would’ve helped gotten rid of the perma-milk smell on my fingers. That, or it would’ve combined to give a whiff of lemon curd. Win-win.
• To this day, my nails still take a beating. It’s the constant using of nail polish, this time, that’s the culprit. I like how a cuticle cream can help with nail recovery. At least, I’ll get some of that moisture back.
• In addition to keeping my cuticles healthy, I’ve been using this as an all-around hand salve. It doesn’t get too greasy, so it multitasks nicely.

Neutral:

• After a while, I’ve noticed that the sides of the cream have loosened from the tin, but the solid mass stays firmly in place. Nothing to worry about. The effectiveness of the contents hasn’t changed, either.

Cons:

• It’s on the pricey side for a cuticle cream per se. If you use this for more than that, it would be a more reasonable purchase.

Verdict: The lemon scent is so addictive, it’s making me crave for lemon bars. If you’re looking for a product that’ll make your hands smell like you’ve been baking lemon meringue pie, go for Burt’s Bee’s Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream.
