M and I have been known to frequent UNIQLO for completely different purposes. He buys all his stuff there, from shirts to underclothes. On the other hand, I particularly like their accessories (umbrellas and glasses) and outerwear (raincoats, parkas). Either way, we both agree that this brand is our first choice for stylish and functional apparel. That said, I was thrilled to have been invited to the launch of UNIQLO’s fall collections, featuring design collaborations with Lemaire, Ines De La Fressange Paris, and DISNEY Magic for All.

To get the ball rolling, there was a round of speeches from both local and international representatives of the brand. The program was hosted by Bianca Valerio who was in a prisitine Uniqlo coat. We found out that the special collections highlighted at the event would only be exclusively available at Uniqlo’s bigger stores, namely the branches in SM Megamall (where the event took place), SM North Edsa, SM Aura Premiere, and SM Mall of Asia. I think it’s worth the trip to the big branches as the three new lines cover a diverse set of styles. It’s likely you’ll find something to fall in love with.
Later on, we were treated to a fashion show styled by none other than Daryl Chang.
Here are highlights for each collection:
And as for my favorites from the launch?
It’s this cape and sweater from Lemaire! I love fall/winter collections for incorporating a much darker color palette and playing around with long sleeves and wraps. These two pieces from Lemaire remind me of autumn’s quiet elegance, just looking at the silhouettes and cuts. That cape, in particular, strikes me as gutsy and totally Eurochic. What are your picks from the collection?
*I was invited to the launch of UNIQLO’s latest collections and given GC’s to shop for pieces that I liked. I was not otherwise paid or compensated. Opinions expressed are entirely my own.
