September-October Empties

At this point, it’s kind of obvious that I like to have multiple products open at the same time. As a result, I suddenly amass a fair amount of empties in one go. It’s mostly skincare products again today with the occasional perfume and makeup thrown in. Click the names of the products to view the full review:

Jergens Original Beauty Lotion — Addicted to the cherry-almond scent, and I’m sure to come back for more. This is my favorite drugstore lotion.

Benefit They’re Real Mascara — I’m so glad for the tiny size that makes it travel-friendly and keeps wastage to a minimum. I wasn’t even able to finish this small tube, but it’s usability has come to the end of the road. Time to toss!

Pond’s White Beauty Pearl Cleansing Gel — Light foam and gel, but actually does some heavy-duty cleansing. This strips oil effectively. My skin would feel a bit tight afterwards.

Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2 — A single bottle literally takes me over a year to finish. This one has been with me for two years, maybe? It’s too strong to use daily, but I keep it around for skin emergencies, like a sudden zit outbreak or when my skin feels gunky.

3W Clinic Snail Hand Cream — Lightly hydrating and kind of feels like face primer. It’s good as a lotion for just-washed hands, but not deep moisturizing enough for pre-bedtime skin-recovery use.

Burt’s Bees Naturally Nourishing Milk & Honey Body Lotion — Too runny, but otherwise has a lightness I appreciate. Smells more woody than milk-and-honey, though.

Pantene 3 Minute Miracle — This is my second tube already! I even have a third tube lined-up for use.

Etude House I’m Blooming Moisture Cleansing Foam — Functions as a very gentle cleanser for both my face and my makeup brushes, yet it creates such a healthy lather. Smells like crushed plant leaves, but that’s not a big issue for me.

Katy Perry Purr Eau de Toilette — I usually don’t buy celebrity-brand perfumes. Not snobby, just haven’t found so many that I like. This happened to be the exception. It’s powdery-citrusy that smells sweet without going overboard. I used this the most in the summer, and this was my go-to before I got Philosophy Amazing Grace.

Burt’s Bees Daisy White Moisturizing Cream — Mild moisturizer that smells of sweet lemon. Mmmmm… Has never agitated my skin. Thumbs-up, definitely.

The Body Shop Shea Body Butter — Another product that I’m on my nth container of. I have two tubs lined-up, and this as well as The Body Shop bar soap is what I keep an eye on during sales.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil — I wish so bad that someone would legit bring this to the Philippines already. It emulsifies to removes long-wear makeup quickly and doesn’t take much effort to activate. Makeup just melts right off. For waterproof mascara, I still need a bi-phase remover, but this is the shizz for everything else.

  1. Love these empties posts; they’re so voyeuristic yet innocent hahaha You actually get to finish makeup?? I think I’ve only ever thrown out foundation and mascara. I hit pan on an eyeshadow for the first time in my life this year

    • Hahaha! I finished eyeshadows in college (cream and 2-pan palette), plenty of pressed powders, BB cream, and lip glosses. The only lipstick I’ve ever actually finished was a MAC Viva Glam V. Mascaras, I don’t finish before they expire on me. :p
