Is it me, or is the holiday season slow approaching? I’m surprised that I’m not seeing more festive mall decor, especially in the Philippines where the Christmas enthusiasm is on another level. Then again, there is no shortage of Christmas songs in circulation. I’m only glad that I have yet to hear the medleys.
Anyway, all this talk of yuletide cheer makes me think of, you guessed it, holiday sets! And because I want to make room in my
hoarder’s pile closet for new stuff, I set my mind to proactively finishing up the older items in my stash. These are my current empties:
Nars Deep Throat Blush – Received this as a gift from the boyfriend, and he should be flattered at how much mileage this particular one got! The peachy-pink, fine-shimmered sister of Nars Orgasm is one of my HGs. If I don’t want to bother coordinating my blush and lipstick, Deep Throat is the no-brainer choice. Will I repurchase? Not quite yet. I got the Nars Blush/Bronzer Duo (Orgasm and Laguna), so that’s up next!
L’Occitane Cerisier Princesse Hand Cream – This is actually my second L’Occitane hand cream empty. I think I have three more stashed around the house as these were gifts from a friend who went to Europe. I swear, this brand has got the whole French countryside thing down pat. The scents are so complex, with the floral ones evoking the image of lush gardens.
The Body Shop Olive Nourishing Body Butter – I’m usually a shea body butter kind of girl, but I hear just as many good things about the olive variant. I wouldn’t mind alternating between olive and shea from now on. 🙂
Chica Y Chico Killing Star Cleanser – I still don’t care for the exfoliator bits, but Chica Y Chico is definitely still one of the most resilient makeup removers I’ve ever tried. Bye bye, long-wear and water-resistant formulas.
StriVectin Multi-Action Restorative Cream – This is my version of “adulting” with skincare. No frills, straight-up non-greasy moisturizer that has a smooth texture. It works as an excellent final step to multi-layer skincare, sealing lighter formulas in.
DHC Deep Cleansing Oil – There are two things I request for from Japan-bound friends: Shiseido Medicated Baby Powder and DHC Cleansing Oil. For light to medium makeup, this is the way to go as it is super gentle and non-drying. I already have a big backup bottle lined up.
Syoss Oleo Intense Shampoo and Conditioner – I like the more distinct perfume of this set as it’s a change of scenery from the usual haircare fragrances that have pretty much tired me out.
I’m currently at that period where I’m simultaneously finishing up several products, so more empties are coming soon.
