It just occurred to me that I haven’t done my nails for months! In the horrible humid weather, the prospect of dealing with chipped polish was off-putting. But now that it’s supposed to get a little bit cooler, colorful “talons” are on my mind once more. Withshyan Peel Off Nail Curator (P260) from Althea Korea is going to be helping me achieve those NOTD goals.

I have never been one to get my nails professionally done as I am rather paranoid about the sterilization of tools that some salons are using. However, I went to this one event at a popular nail salon and was wowed by their mani-pedi service. I decided to return a few months later to a different branch to have my nails done for a formal event. Big mistake. My toe nails were over-scraped and eventually started tearing off at the edges.
After recovering from those nightmarish jagged toenails, I am now back and completely satisfied with doing my own mani-pedi work at the moment. So let’s discuss Solique Gel Nail Polish in Hush by Girlstuff (PHP 180).

I’m not over glitter polish. (Will I ever be over the shimmery, sparkly stuff?) And even though the holidays is the perfect time to bust out the highly reflective cosmetics, I’ll find an excuse any time of year to be sparkle-happy. I’ve got a special one today: Orly Nail Lacquer in Pixie Powder (USD 8.50 / PHP 385).

Sharing my NOTD! It’s Sinful Colors Porcelain Matte Nail Polish in Glazy Sunday. It’s part of a limited edition collection that came out spring 2016, though I’m not sure if it is still being sold. (Haven’t seen the collection on the Sinful Colors official site!) But anyway, here goes:

The biggest deterrent for me to put on nail polish isn’t the struggle to work with steady hands, especially when it comes to my non-dominant hand’s turn to paint my nails. It isn’t even the waiting time for each coat to dry. What turns me off a manicure is the tedious removal after a week. Ugh. So when a nail polish remover is designed with convenience in mind, it turns into an exciting moment for me. It’s time to talk about Cutex Advanced Revival Nail Polish Remover Pads (10 pads for USD 3.99; 3 pads for USD 1.49).
