I recently went to a big department store sale early in the morning to shop for shoes I’m planning on wearing to a friend’s wedding. But of course, I couldn’t resist the urge to drop by the beauty section for a look see. Aside from stocking up on my beloved The Body Shop Body Butters, I picked up a tube of Generation Happy Skin Active On the Go Blush Lightweight Cheek Stick in Flushed (PHP 399). ‘Coz I can never get enough blush sticks…

The Philippine election season has heated up in more ways than one! It has been said that the 2016 election has been the most intense in the modern history of the country. So much drama, and it didn’t even end with the debates and the voting. (In case you’re unaware, there was a Twitter hashtag that trended over the last 24 hours. It concerned the candidates and their family members. It may or may not involve controversial NSFW fictional stuff. Oh my.)
But anyway, the mood struck me to do a full face on voting day. Never mind that it was stifling hot and the line was expected to be at least an hour long! lol

I debated whether or not to still go ahead and write the review for this. You see, I got this Happy Skin Eye Am Here To Stay 24h Waterproof Eyeliner (PHP 599) last year but promptly forgot all about it. It was brand-spanking-new off the box, and I didn’t even open it once before stuffing it in my vanity and completely neglecting it. Fast forward to this year when it’s been in there 11 months, and I have the sense to decide to break it out. Guess what happened?

Bloggers, do you sometimes feel overwhelmed with the number of reviews lined up? In Filipino, the most accurate description of the feeling is called natambakan, which means ‘swamped’. It’s primarily self-imposed pressure, so it’s really all in my head. Some nagging part at the back of my mind is telling me to do more. Mostly it’s because of the knowledge that I have the photos ready and waiting on several products, but the time to sit down and write is what I actually lack. Frustrating, but I’m trying my best to catch up to the weekly output I’ve set for myself. That said, I’m making a quick post today for Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippie in Naughty and Nice (bought for PHP 549; apparently there’s been a price increase to PHP 599 and non-LE lippies have come to PHP 549 from PHP 499), a brand whose lipsticks I’ve reviewed several times before.

Being my predictable old self, I shopped the limited edition summer Happy Skin collection for that one standout item that I just had to have. It’s a Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippie from the Beauty in Bloom release in Bride-To-Be (PHP 599 regular price; got on sale for PHP 540) this time. Spoiler alert: It’s the pretty packaging and girly color that sparked the desire!
